The Turtle and the Magic Racket

Once upon a time a turtle was sleeping under his shell.  Suddenly, a racket woke him up.  The turtle yelled, "who did that!"  for he saw no one.  A small voice replied, "it was me."  Now the turtle was angry but a little curious about the voice.

"Who are you?" the turtle asked from inside his shell.
"I am a magic racket that talks and does all sorts of things. Watch," and he threw a big, heavy, and huge rock up in the sky.
     "Wow" said the turtle.
"I know I am good, but give me something.  Give me a wish and I'll grant it."
"Well, I would like to move fast with my shell.  Can you grant that?" asked the turtle.
"Well, let's see," said the racket.
The racket took out a box and looked inside.
"Aha!" said the magic racket. "Turtle magic."

She opened a small box. "Let me see if this will work" and the bag was a wand and a running kit.  She took the wand and running kit out of the bag.  She said magic words the turtle never heard of.

     "Roo na," said the racket.
A ray shot out like a rocket.  It went all over the turtle.
"What is that slimy stuff?" the turtle asked.  He didn't notice he was running fast.
     "Green water that's slimy."
"Oh my.  I am running," said the turtle.  "This is wonderful.  And this was the happiest day of his life.

Once upon a time a beautiful goose was sitting on a nest of pure white eggs.  Suddenly, she heard cracking.  She came off her nest and was really surprised.  One of her eggs was hatching.  She knew it because she saw a small and black crack and small patch of yellow fur.  She was very surprised because she saw yellow fur and when she looked at herself she was white.  She really wanted to know why it was like this but she didn't care.  She would worry about this later because she was curious about this chick.  When it was finished hatching she looked all about the chicks body and didn't see a patch of white or anything familiar that was on herself.

"Why is it like this?" she kept asking herself.
Yellow fur, black eyes, orange feet...Why, it looks like a duck thought the mama goose.  Suddenly, the goose that looked like a duck honked.  So, if he honked she knew he was a goose.  I'm glad he honked mama goose thought.  She did not know another egg was hatching for she was curious about the first chick and did not look at her nest for even a second.  She didn't even hear the cracking.

But when she heard the cracking she said "oh my goodness!"
"Another egg is hatching.  I was not even watching my nest!"

So, forgetting about the other chick, she went to her nest to take a peek. What a sight it was!  All of her eggs were hatching!  Every chick was yellow with black eyes and orange feet.  They all looked like the first chick that had hatched.

"Oh my goodness." said mama goose when all the geese had finished hatching.  They all looked alike.  All of them honked at the same time.  They all sounded the same.  They were honking the same as their mother.  So the mama goose knew her babies were geese.  The End.

"It seems to be coming from the attic," the mother said.  Everyone else agreed.  So everyone went on to the attic.  When they finally reached the attic they could still hear them fighting and yelling.

"What are you doing?" asked the mother as she opened the door.
"We are playing" lied the ducks.
"What are you talking about?  We didn't hear you playing, we heard you fighting and yelling.  Not playing!"  yelled the youngest kid, Joey.

Then the mother snatched up the ducks, carried them to their stall and scolded the ducks.

"If you ever escape the stall again we will keep you in the attic for the rest of your lives!"

The ducks nodded and said they would never ever do it again.  But they had something in their minds.  They would do it again and again.  So....

When the one servant told the king, the king was gone.  He was out thinking what was still wrong.  "What is wrong" asked the king to himself for he didn't know what the cure was.  But when he saw his servant come over he asked, "did you find out what is wrong?"  The servant replied, "Yes.  Come to the princesses room.  You will find out."

The servant brought the king to the princesses room so the king could ask Sunflower what was wrong.  After the princess told her father he told her she could pick a sunflower and smell it and she went out for the day.

He picked a handful of red berries and went home.  As he walked he kept dropping berries and when he came home he followed the trail of berries he had made and picked more berries and ate them all the way home.
The Rat and the Princess

Faraway in a castle lived a king and queen.  They longed for a daughter.  One day the queen was crying by the well.  A snake slithered up to her.

"What would you wish for my queen?"
The queen replied, "A child."
"A boy or a girl?"
"A girl."
"A secret girl or normal girl?  A secret girl is a secret.  Only tell the king.  A normal girl is... you know.  Which one?"

At this the queen thought for a long while.  Finally she said, "A-a beautiful, normal and secret girl with a secret ribbon on her hair."

The snake granted her wish in 2 seconds.  It was just what the queen had asked for.  It was normal, secret, beautiful girl with a ribbon on her hair.  All her clothes were right in place and she had white clothes.  Mostly everything she had on was white except her blue shoes and brown hair.  The queen was so happy that she ran to the palace and showed the king.  The king and queen named the baby Lilly.

One day, when Lilly was only 11 years old, a rat bit her.  She screamed and ran to the palace.  She told the queen (or her mother) everything.  The mother got mad at the rat and never let Lilly outside by herself again.  The queen had to go out with her.  The End.
